Welcome! I’m so happy you are here for a visit. Relax and enjoy as I introduce you to some very exciting and modern technologies for today’s classroom relating to virtually any subject you can imagine. I will focus on how Web 2.0 is changing education. Specifically, I will cover Web 2.0 Blogs, Wikis, Podcasting, and Social Bookmarks for Educators. All of these Web 2.0 tools were designed to facilitate global collaboration for teachers and students in and out of the classroom.
John Chambers talks about a fundamental change happening in the future of Education. The power of the Internet, Web 2.0, and telecolaborating in the classroom is changing the way we do things in the classroom. It’s happening all around the globe. Students are collaborating and revealing their inner potential with blogs, flip, video imaging, telepresence, and various Web 2.0 tools, which are changing the world we live in. The use of telepresence allows a person to virtually be in multiple locations at the same time and all around the world. Web 2.0 tools are a way of life for today’s students, who now learn so much faster. He feels that all of these new technologies provides the student with a higher standard of living and leads to a much better economy for the future.
